More convenient trains with the EU in Ukraine: details

Rail service between Ukraine and the European Union may become even more convenient for passengers. According to the company's press service on Facebook, Ukrzaliznytsia is actively working to improve transport links with Austria in cooperation with the state-owned operator Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB). This means new routes, comfortable transfers and improved quality of service for Ukrainian travelers.

What changes can passengers expect?

Recently, Andreas Matte, CEO of ÖBB, visited Kyiv and met with Oleksandr Pertsovsky, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia. During the talks, they discussed specific initiatives to improve railway communication between Ukraine and Austria. In particular:

● the possibility of launching a new, more convenient interchange route between Kyiv and Vienna;

● discussing the launch of a train with Austrian seating cars to Uzhhorod via Chop;

● joint staff training: Ukrzaliznytsia employees will be trained in Vienna, which will improve the quality of passenger service and technical maintenance.

Such initiatives can greatly simplify the travel of Ukrainians to Europe and Europeans to Ukraine, as well as increase the level of comfort in international trains.
